The Context for This Roundtable Conversation

Through her work with ImaginePod’s Impact Incubator and as a Strategy & Partnerships Specialist with a community foundation in California, Adriana is seeing a continued influx of news about nonprofits receiving funding cuts.

We recognize that you might be feeling like it’s impossible to "plug all of the holes" that the current funding cuts are creating.

The situation may be too much for global society to bear all at once, but civil society is precious so this is also a need and an opportunity to strengthen collaboration, grow relationships, diversify income streams, and have strategic discussions.

The COVID pandemic helped prepare us all to rethink how we work, and now we are in a new period of redesign and problem solving.

Imene and Adriana just co-facilitated ImaginePod’s Impact Incubator first cohort of 2025, and members are now in action raising funding from individual donors in their campaign.

These organization founders and teams are on fire to keep their critical work moving forward in their communities and already bringing in new donors. All of them inspire us so much.

One member works with a Washington state nonprofit protecting women in two counties who are coming out of domestic violence situations. When their funding was slashed this Spring, the staff was in crisis mode. We have been working with them on creating a new and more fast moving, nimble income stream from individual donor relationship building via the incubator.

It is hard to replace a federal or international grant with enough individual donations right off the bat. However, many organizations already have lean teams that may not need a huge amount of funding to continue their work and still see a big difference — and do this by building relationships with new donors.

Join us at this interactive roundtable podcast interview and discussion to help you with your strategic planning.
